The Chell Barocel APT100 absolute pressure/vacuum has been developed to provide highly stable vacuum measurements in environments such as chemical and food plants where rugged construction is necessary. The heart of the instrument is a capacitance manometer that has gained an enviable reputation over the past ten years in demanding applications the world over.
Description The APT100 is housed in an IP65 die cast enclosure in order to provide the ruggedness demanded of plant transmitters. The sensor is available with a choice of connection flanges to ensure easy compatibility with plant such as freeze driers, vacuum coolers, distillation and de-odouriser towers, etc. The sensors are capable of overpressure to 2 bar, even those with a full scale of 0.050mb.
The temperature controlled sensor has remarkable linearity and repeatability, providing the best available accuracy for sub-atmospheric process monitoring and control. The transducers are mains powered and have optional signal outputs of 10Vdc, 4-20mA for mains powered APT's and additionally, RS232 or RS422/485 for dc powered instruments.
The APT is ideally suited to monitoring vacuum processes where the media temperature varies during the process being enclosed in its own hermetically sealed temperature controlled environment, the Barocel continues to measure accurately when most other gauges are grossly at error. The APT101 with its IP55 enclosure is a fully compatible retrofit package for earlier rectangular capacitance manometers, whereas the IP65 enclosure of the APT102 brings capacitance manometer performance to such an environment for the first time
