Pressure Decay Leak Tester

LRT2000

• Continuously displays rate of pressure decay.

• User selectable test pressure and display
resolution for greater flexibility.

• Easy to operate.

• Digital pressure output for data logging.

• Bench top mounting for laboratory or field use.

The LRT2000 is a rugged, easy to use instrument designed to provide applied pressure control and rate of pressure decay leak testing. Simple controls enable the user to pressurise a component to be tested, then isolate it from the supply pressure and measure rate of pressure decay. A dual channel
display indicates pressure and rate of pressure change simultaneously. Automated PASS or
FAIL indication is available as an option.

Operation
The instrument should be connected to a 120 - 240 VAC, 50/60 Hz power supply and a clean dry gas source, A period of 60 minutes should be allowed after powering the instrument to allow it to stabilise and reach optimum accuracy.

Test pressure to be applied is set using the manual pressure regulator. A single rotary valve allows selection of FILL, TEST and VENT modes, neatly eliminating the possibility of pressurising a component with a vent valve open, or conversely, venting a component whilst it is still exposed to the pressure source. In the test mode the actual rate of pressure change is compared to the component specification to provide an unambiguous pass or fail decision.
