Design Features
The HFM/HFC Series of flow instruments is based on a modular design. At the heart of each instrument is an insulated thermo electric sensor which provides enhanced zero stability and allows installation in any orientation plane. This sensor is designed to be removable/replaceable in the field to virtually eliminate long down time due to clogging, the most common cause of failure in the industry. Additionally, the HFM/HFC design features an integral filter and an easily replaceable closed loop electronics card.* The HFC also features an externally adjustable valve with easily replaceable flow orifices.

All of these standard features, when coupled with the instruments inherent linear response to flow changes and Hastings Instruments' long-proven reputation for quality, result in the finest flowmeters and flow controllers available today.

HFM200 Mass Flow Meter with LFE
Hastings Model HFM-200 Flowmeters with an LFE offer the user fast, accurate measurement of high-capacity gas flows, in ranges from 0–450 SLPM up to 0-15,000 SLPM. The instrument is available with a 15-pin ¡°D¡± connector.

The laminar flow elements (smoothed, flanged, or threaded) are available in various sizes from 3/8" up to 8". Used in conjunction with the standard HFM Flowmeter, these units can be combined to measure full-scale flows up to 15,000 SLPM and feature a typical pressure drop of 4.5" water scale at full-scale flow.

*Note: After changing components, instruments require recalibration to meet accuracy specifications.

Model HFC-204
The Hastings Model HFC-204 Flow Controller offers the user fast, accurate measurement and control of high-capacity gas flows in ranges of 0-1500 SLPM. The instrument is available with a 15-pin ¡°D¡± connector. Built into each instrument is a standard Hastings Model HFM mass flowmeter that features fine precision and a long-recognized reputation for quality.

The High-Capacity Flow Controller is primarily stainless steel with easily replace-able Viton¢ç* ¡°O¡± rings. The control valve is two-stage with a proportional electromagnetic pilot, having control from 2% to 100% of full-scale capability.
