The FCO65: A range of classical Pitot Static Tubes with hemispherical noses designed to a 'k' factor of 1.00 giving calibrated differential pressure readings from air and gas flows. The FCO65 features a conventional bent shaft and optional stuffing boxes and locking glands for installation into ducts or pipes.
Alternatively, they can be hand held for the measurement of free air velocity. The FCO65's are constructed of stainless steel with brass fittings and tailored to standard lengths and diameters to suit most applications. Also optional is a version with a thermocouple embedded into the Pitot nose for temperature measurement and automatic differential pressure correction in a suitably equipped transmitter
The FCO68 'Flowmaster'. A range of primary Pitot flow elements featuring averaging capacity .
The Pitot Static Tubes can be supplied in any length to suit any duct or pipe size; constructed in stainless steel with stuffing boxes and glands in brass.
The FCO68 Flowmaster Pitot Flow Elements are industrial process control flow measuring devices built for harsh environments. They generate a differential pressure well suited to Furness Controls' range of transmitters. The FCO68 range of Pitot Static Tubes features a downstream static tapping to provide a 'k' factor of 1.800 and is generally suitable for industrial air flow applications.
The FCO66 pattern Pitot Static Tubes use a straight shaft with single points upstream and downstream of the flow to create an enhanced differential pressure with a 'k' factor of 1.800. The FCO66 has the added benefit of being bi-directional, allowing reverse flows to be tracked and measured as well as uni-directional flows. FC066 pitots come with stuffing boxes and locking glands as standard as they are essentially permanently installed primary flow elements. As with type FCO65 an optional embedded thermocouple version is available for auto correction of differential pressure in a suitably equipped transmitter
The FCO96: A series of Laminar Flow Elements (LFE's) for volume flow measurement of air or gases or ranges from 0.1ml/min to 10,000 litres/min.
The FCO96 LFE's provide the ability to measure accurately and repeatability the low flows encountered in sampling systems, injectors and respiration applications.
Flow measurements are often made by orifice plate, venturi or nozzle, where the differential pressure generated is related to flow through a square law. The FCO96 Laminar Flow Elements have a linear low relationship between differential pressure and flow which allows a much higher turndown to be achieved. Laminar low conditions are achieved below a Reynolds number of 2000.
