M&G deadweight testers (primary standards)
M&G PK II series (pneumatic)
Range: 1 to 200 kPa (0.145 to 30 psi)
Low pressure tester, portable and ideal for field or laboratory use. The PK II tester is used for low pressure applications up to 30 psi (2 bar). Available in 7 engineering units: psi, g/cm2, kPa, bar, inH2O, cmH2O, and mmHg. This industry standard has an accuracy of up to ¡¾0.015% of reading. Housed in a rugged case made for 'closed case' operation to protect from wind conditions. The tester base includes a built-in mounting for optional tripod use. Also available for medical applications ready for use with Oxygen.
Deadweight testers are superior to all digital systems. Use the deadweight testers as your company's primary standard or to calibrate very critical pressure gauges as in custody transfer applications. In 1966, Mansfield & Green introduced the deadweight tester based on the ¡°floating ball¡± principle. This deadweight tester is an extremely easy-to-use, reliable and accurate primary standard and is now earning its reputation as the ¡°standard of standards¡±.
Typical deadweight tester applications are:
- laboratory or field use
- hazardous locations
- critical process control loops extending the time between calibrations due to better accuracy and uncertainty
- calibrating instruments on custody transfer stations thereby reducing the uncertainty of the measurement
- calibrating portable digital calibrators to achieve the highest possible accuracy and reducing maintenance costs
